T. Mychael Rambo is an affiliate professor in the College of Liberal Arts, Theatre Arts and Dance Department here at the University of Minnesota and recent recipient of the 2009 Sally Award in Education and 2008 Regional Emmy Award winner in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Bell Museum. T. Mychael is an actor, vocalist, arts educator and community organizer; who has performed principle roles at Penumbra Theatre, the Guthrie Theatre, Mixed Blood, Illusion Theatre, Minnesota Opera and numerous other theaters around the Twin Cities as well as nationally - including Carnegie Hall and abroad throughout Europe, Africa, Canada and Brazil. He has appeared in local and national television commercials, feature films, HBO mini-series, and other television programming. As a vocalist, he has released two popular CD's: “Simply” - a collection of jazz standards; and "The Gift; A Christmas With Love” - a collection of original songs and holiday classics. Now, his most cherished performance, T. Mychael both met and had the honor of singing the National Anthem for President Obama during his September '09 Health Rally stop, here in the Twin Cities.
